Pastor Mardy Dunlop
 

Glenn and Mardy Dunlop are the founders and apostolic leaders of Karmel Apostolic House, a ministry with a clear mandate to equip the saints, raise fivefold leaders, and advance God's kingdom to the nations.

 

Following Glenn’s retirement from a distinguished football career with Crusaders FC, he and Mardy responded to the call of God with wholehearted obedience, launching their first ministry expression, Highway of Holiness.

 

Over the years, their journey evolved through the founding of Karmel City Church and now into a global apostolic hub.

 

Together, they carry a burden for revival, holiness, and equipping the body of Christ through teaching, prophetic ministry, and international missions.

 

With a heart for people and a passion for God’s presence, Glenn and Mardy continue to mentor leaders, strengthen churches, and build according to God’s pattern across regions and nations.

Apostle Glenn's Story

Beginnings (1991–1995)

Glenn Dunlop was born on 12 May 1968 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began his football journey at amateur level with Sirocco Works, a local club in Belfast. In 1991, Dunlop signed for Crusaders, beginning a professional career that would see him become a central figure in Northern Irish football throughout the 1990s.

In his first full season at Crusaders, Dunlop quickly established himself as a solid central defender. His performances earned him his first nomination for the Guinness Sport's Writers Player of the Year award—an early sign of the impact he would have in the years to come.

Successes and Retirement (1995–2000)

Throughout his time at Crusaders, Dunlop played over 300 matches and was instrumental in securing two Irish League championships for the club. His consistency, leadership, and technical skill earned him widespread respect from teammates, opponents, and sportswriters alike, establishing him as one of the Irish League’s top players during the 1990s.

In July 2000, Dunlop was honoured with a testimonial match against English Premier League side Derby County, a significant milestone marking his contributions to the club.
 
Unfortunately, in November 2000, his career came to an abrupt end after he suffered a serious ankle injury in a league match against Newry. The injury was severe enough to force his retirement from professional football shortly thereafter

Football Career (1995–2000)

Dunlop’s rise continued steadily through the mid-1990s. In the 1995–96 season, he was awarded the PFA Player's Player of the Year, the final time this accolade was given. Over the next two seasons, he continued to perform at a high level, picking up further individual honours and recognition from fellow players and the media.

The 1996–97 season brought one of the most memorable moments of his career. In a league match against Bangor at Seaview, Dunlop scored what was voted Goal of the Season. Starting from deep in his own half at the left-back position, he dribbled past multiple Bangor players, rounded the goalkeeper, and calmly slotted the ball into the net. The goal was selected by former Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty.

In 1997, Dunlop represented Crusaders in their UEFA Champions League preliminary round against Dinamo Tbilisi, further showcasing his talent on a European stage. That same year, after winning the league title, his contract expired and he was approached by Linfield, but he chose loyalty and re-signed with Crusaders. A year later, in 1998, he was linked with a potential move to Portadown but again remained at Seaview.

Calling - Present

What began as a personal spiritual awakening soon gave birth to ministry. Glenn founded Highway of Holiness, a pioneering work marked by fervent prayer, uncompromising preaching, and a call to holiness in the Church.
 
As the ministry grew, it transitioned into Karmel City Church, a vibrant community in Belfast that became known for Spirit-led worship, strong discipleship, and outreach.

Today, Glenn leads Karmel Apostolic House, a movement with a clear apostolic and prophetic mandate to the nations. Karmel Apostolic House exists not only to shepherd a local body but to raise, equip, and send leaders into global mission. The ministry functions as a hub for:
​

  • Training and releasing fivefold ministers

  • Building apostolic foundations in churches and regions

  • Equipping believers to walk in holiness, authority, and spiritual maturity

  • Establishing prayer altars and revival fire across the nations
    ​

Glenn’s apostolic ministry is rooted in intimacy with God, the unshakable truth of Scripture, and the belief that God is restoring His Church to walk in power and purity. His life is now fully devoted to the advancing of God's kingdom, mentoring leaders, planting ministries, and mobilising the Church for global impact.
